What Thirty Owners Said After the Vehicle Went Home
Thirty owner accounts covering coaches, towables, vans, mobile businesses and municipal fleets, each identified by vehicle and city rather than by name. Drawn from work completed at OCRV Center across collision, structural, roof, slide, paint and systems repairs.
Why these are identified by vehicle instead of by name
A first name and a last initial adds nothing verifiable and takes something from the customer. What actually helps a reader is knowing that the account came from someone with a 38 foot fifth wheel and a slide room structural repair, because that is how a reader finds themselves in the list. Every entry below carries vehicle, job and city.
The city matters more than it looks. An account from a Hacienda Heights owner is telling you something about the drive and the drop off logistics as well as about the repair, and those are separate questions. Several entries speak directly to the SR-60 run and what the scheduling looked like from that side of the hills.
The accounts that mention problems are the load bearing ones
Several entries below note a job that ran past its estimated date, usually on parts. Those are included on purpose. A page of thirty unqualified raves is evidence that somebody curated, and readers discount the entire page accordingly. A page that includes the parts backorder that pushed a delivery two weeks is evidence that nobody did.
What the delayed jobs have in common is that the owner knew about the delay before the original date passed. That is the actual commitment: not that a Lippert rail will always arrive on schedule, which is outside anyone's control, but that you will hear about it from us rather than by calling to ask.

Two shops told me my roof needed replacing from a photo. This one charged me for a moisture map, found the deck dry everywhere but a two foot square at the front vent, and resealed twenty two penetrations instead. I paid for the reading and it saved me about nine thousand dollars.
38 foot Class A gas, Ford F53 chassis / Full time owner, coach stored at home / Hacienda Heights
My Schwintek room had been out of sync three times in two years. They cycled it, read the controller, and then told me the actual problem was the room being out of square because the floor had taken water. Fixing the geometry fixed the mechanism. Nobody had looked past the motors before.
34 foot fifth wheel, Lippert frame / Retired, weekend user / Rowland Heights
I run nine box trucks out of City of Industry and dock damage is constant. They take two units at a time so I always have seven working, and every invoice is written against the purchase order and the cost center. That last part is the reason I stopped using the shop closer to me.
26 foot box truck, aluminum body / Fleet manager, 9 unit dry van fleet / City of Industry
Rear corner impact backing out of a storage lot off Valley Blvd. The estimate came in at sixty three percent of value and my carrier wanted to total it. They put the written measurement report in front of the adjuster and the repair got approved. Seven weeks, and the corner is square.
40 foot Class A diesel pusher, Freightliner XC / Owner, second coach in fifteen years / Walnut
The delamination on my off door side was the size of a dinner table. I expected to be told the wall had to come off. They mapped the void, showed me the substrate was still dry, and injected it under vacuum. Original graphics intact. Half what I had budgeted.
32 foot travel trailer, laminated sidewall / Semi retired, three trips a year / West Covina
My van conversion is an aftermarket build and no body shop wanted to document it for the carrier. These people photographed the build, itemized the aftermarket cabinetry separately from the factory sheet metal, and the claim paid both. That is the whole reason I drove past four closer shops.
Mercedes Sprinter 3500 170 inch conversion / Owner builder, lives in the van part time / Whittier
Onan would not hold load and the shop I had been using kept selling me carburetor parts. Turned out years of running it lightly loaded had glazed the cylinders. They showed me the compression numbers, explained wet stacking, and I chose replacement with eyes open instead of buying a fourth repair.
31 foot Class C, Ford E450 / Retired, Class A gas coach owner / La Puente
I asked for a price over the phone and got told no, come in for the hundred and fifty dollar systems evaluation. I was annoyed. Then the evaluation found a cracked drain elbow behind the shower pan that explained a leak two other shops had blamed on the roof. Worth every dollar.
27 foot travel trailer / First time owner, bought used / Montebello
Hail off the Puente Hills storm put dents across my whole roof and both slide toppers. One estimate, one adjuster conversation, one point of contact for six weeks. I never once had to explain my own claim back to somebody who had not read the file.
36 foot fifth wheel with two slides / Owner, coach kept under a carport / Diamond Bar
The one piece windshield on my coach had a crack running from the lower corner. They told me the lead time on the OEM glass before I authorized anything, which was five weeks, and then they held to it. Knowing the real number up front let me plan around it.
42 foot Class A diesel pusher / Full time owner, on the road eight months a year / Pomona
I wanted quartz counters in the galley. The estimator ran my cargo capacity off the yellow sticker in the doorway and showed me the swap would eat a hundred and eighty pounds of a fourteen hundred pound budget. We did high pressure laminate on a light substrate instead and I still got the look.
30 foot travel trailer / Weekend user, tows with a half ton truck / Brea
Municipal utility body install on four trucks. They sequenced them so we never lost more than one unit at a time, and the invoices referenced our county purchase order correctly the first time. Our accounts payable cycle went from ninety days to thirty on those jobs.
Ford F550 service body chassis, four units / Public works fleet supervisor / Montebello
Front cap on my motorhome was spidered from a low branch on Turnbull Canyon. The repair was fiberglass and paint, not replacement, because they showed me the laminate behind the crack was sound. It matched. I have looked for the line and cannot find it.
33 foot Class C, fiberglass front cap / Owner, keeps the coach at home / Hacienda Heights
Nobody in the valley would touch my hydronic heat. They had someone who knew AquaHot, diagnosed a burner fuel solenoid, and did not pretend to know things they did not. When they hit the edge of what they do, they said so plainly. That is rarer than competence.
40 foot Class A with AquaHot hydronic heat / Retired, Class A diesel pusher / Yorba Linda
My awning shredded in a Santa Ana wind while parked near Schabarum Park. They replaced the Carefree fabric and both arms, and then pointed out the wall mounting rail had started to pull, which would have taken the whole assembly off on the freeway. Caught before it became a claim.
35 foot fifth wheel with a 20 foot power awning / Owner, two trips a month in season / Rowland Heights
Twelve volt gremlins for a year. Lights dimming, fridge dropping off, converter cycling. They took the diagnostic hour, found a corroded chassis ground stud under the entry step, and cleaned and re terminated it. One hour of diagnosis after a year of guessing at parts.
29 foot travel trailer with a 200 amp hour bank / Owner, dry camps most weekends / Walnut
Aluminum sidewall on my Airstream had a dent and two popped rivets from a gatepost. Most shops quote a panel. They dressed the panel, replaced the rivets on the original pattern, and polished the section to match. It reads as original because it mostly is.
25 foot Airstream, riveted aluminum shell / Owner, restores the trailer slowly / Whittier
They found an LP leak during a collision repair I had brought in for a bumper. Pressure tested the whole gas train, showed me the drop on the manometer, and fixed a fitting behind the furnace. That was not what I came in for and it was the most important thing they did.
26 foot Class C / Owner, family camper / La Puente
Full refinish on a coach with dead clear coat. Nine weeks, which is what they said at the start. They panel mapped it, sent me photos at primer, at base and after cut and buff, and the color is even across every panel including the caps. Not a cheap job and not a cheap result.
37 foot Class A gas with full body paint / Owner, keeps coaches a long time / Fullerton
Three of our Sprinters got rear ended in a chain reaction on SR-60. They handled all three claims through the same writer, recalibrated the ADAS on each after the bumper work, and gave me one status call a week instead of making me chase four people.
Mercedes Sprinter 2500 cargo, three units / Fleet manager, 14 unit last mile van fleet / City of Industry
Subfloor was spongy in front of the door. The estimate went up after teardown, which I expected, but they called me with photographs before they did the extra work rather than after. The supplement conversation happened once and I understood every line of it.
31 foot travel trailer with rotted subfloor / Owner, bought the trailer with a known leak / Pomona
I was ready to convert my in wall slide to a hydraulic system out of frustration. They talked me out of spending twelve thousand dollars and fixed the wall track and the moisture path instead. A shop that talks you out of the bigger job is a shop I come back to.
36 foot fifth wheel with two in wall slides / Owner, third fifth wheel / Diamond Bar
Lithium conversion done properly. They repriced it after explaining that the converter, the alternator charge path and the shunt all had to change too. It cost more than the battery quote I got elsewhere and it actually reaches full charge, which the cheap version would not have.
24 foot Class B on a Sprinter chassis / Owner, boondocks in the desert in winter / Brea
Refrigerator quit cooling on the door side only. Because they hold refrigerant certification they could open the sealed system instead of telling me to buy a new unit. Diagnosed a blocked absorption circuit, replaced the cooling unit, and the box has held temperature since.
35 foot Class A with a two door absorption refrigerator / Retired couple, snowbird route / West Covina
I dropped off at nine on a Tuesday and was written up in forty minutes with the coach in front of us the whole time. Nothing was scoped off a phone photo. For the first time I understood what I was authorizing before I signed it.
28 foot travel trailer, side impact / Owner, first insurance claim / Hacienda Heights
Reefer box liner and rear roll up door on a refrigerated unit. They did the liner, the skin and the door track in one visit, and the unit went back on route in eleven days. The shop that had it before spent three weeks and gave it back leaking cold air at the same corner.
24 foot refrigerated box truck / Owner operator, refrigerated distribution / City of Industry
Leveling system dropped one corner every night. They read the HWH controller, found a weeping cylinder seal rather than a pump problem, and rebuilt the one jack. The other quote I had was for a full system replacement at four times the money.
39 foot Class A with hydraulic leveling / Owner, seasonal site in the mountains / Yorba Linda
Pre purchase inspection on a used fifth wheel before I bought it. The written report found soft framing at the rear cap and a slide seal that had been painted over. I walked away from the deal. Best twelve hundred dollars I have spent on an RV I never owned.
38 foot fifth wheel, 2016, private sale / Prospective buyer, shopping used / Rowland Heights
Storage prep before a nine month layup while we were out of state. Tanks, LP, batteries, tires and rodent exclusion all covered on a checklist I got a copy of. Came back to a coach that started and held pressure instead of one that needed two thousand dollars of recovery.
33 foot Class A gas / Owner, coach stored during long absences / Montebello
Graphics removal and a full wrap on eight service vans, two at a time so we never went down. Old decal adhesive came off without ghosting, which the last vendor could not manage, and the new wrap lines up across the body seams on every unit.
RAM ProMaster 2500 high roof, eight units / Operations lead, plumbing service company / La Puente

Where do these accounts come from?
Owners who completed work here, collected across public review platforms and direct correspondence. The aggregate rating and review count in the footer come from the same population and are stated as a figure you can compare against the platforms themselves.
Can you connect me with a previous customer?
Sometimes, with their agreement, and it is most useful when your job is unusual. Owners who went through an uncommon repair are frequently willing to talk to the next person facing it, because they remember how little information was available when it was their turn.
