Walk the Shop Before You Commit
On a job in the five figure range, seeing a coach with its sidewall skin off tells you more about what you are buying than any estimate line does. Tours are by appointment and scheduled around active work.
Why we offer this
A structural or laminate estimate is a large number attached to work you cannot see described in language you have no reason to trust. The fastest way to fix that is to show you a coach that is currently open.
Owners who take the tour authorize larger scopes and ask better questions, and both of those produce a better repair. It costs us an hour and it is worth it.
What you will see
The bay layout and why slow cure work is kept separate from fast work. The paint booth, which is the scheduling bottleneck on any job involving finish. The frame equipment. And whatever is open on the floor that day, which is the useful part.
You will also see the clearance, which matters if you have been told your coach is too large for a shop before.
How it is scheduled
By appointment, because an active bay is not a place to walk unaccompanied and because we want somebody with you who can answer what you are looking at. Weekday mornings usually have the most open on the floor.
Questions
Questions on this
Do I have to be an existing customer?
No. If you are weighing a large repair and want to see the building first, that is exactly the situation this is for. Bring the other shop's estimate if you have one.
Can I bring my coach and have it looked at the same visit?
Yes, and say so at booking so we reserve the time. A tour plus an evaluation is a common combination and it is the most efficient single visit.
Is there anything I cannot see?
Another customer's vehicle in a way that identifies it, and any area where active spraying or welding is happening, for the obvious reason. Everything else is open.
