SR-60 west to Fullerton Road and south is the shorter run and the default. It degrades badly during the weekday afternoon peak, when SR-60 through the Diamond Bar interchange backs up and the surface street portion stops helping. The alternate, SR-60 to SR-57 south to SR-91 east, is longer in miles and frequently faster between roughly three and six in the afternoon.

The planner reports both, because an owner towing a 34 foot fifth wheel has a different opinion about interchange ramps than an owner in a camper van, and route choice on a towable is partly about the merges rather than only about the minutes.

Because owners arrive late, discover the intake window has closed, and lose a day. A large coach cannot be dropped in a parking lot and collected later; intake involves a walk around, a signature and a conversation, and that takes staffed time. Arriving twenty minutes before closing on a Saturday is arriving too late even though the door is open.

The tool reads the published hours for the day you select and refuses to return a departure time for a drop off that cannot be completed. That is more useful than a number that is technically correct and operationally impossible.
