# Book an In Shop Evaluation

An evaluation is a booked bay and a technician's time on a specific complaint. It produces a written finding rather than an opinion, and the charge is credited against an authorized repair. All evaluations happen at the facility.

## What an evaluation is, and what it is not

It is a scheduled slot where a technician puts the vehicle on a lift or on level ground, operates the system you are complaining about, takes readings, and writes down what was found. On a water complaint that includes a moisture map across a grid.

It is not a walk around. A walk around tells you a coach has a stain on the ceiling, which you already knew. An evaluation tells you whether the decking under the membrane is wet and how far the boundary extends, which is the fact that decides whether this is a two thousand dollar job or a fifteen thousand dollar one.

## Why it happens here and not at your location

A slide has to be cycled repeatedly under power on level ground. A roof needs to be walked and read on a grid. An intermittent electrical fault needs the vehicle on shore power, on the generator, and on battery in sequence.

None of that is possible in a driveway or a storage yard, and we do not perform evaluations at a customer location, a dealer lot or a campground. An evaluation that cannot operate the system is not an evaluation.

## What you leave with

A written finding, photographs, and on water jobs the moisture map. If you authorize the repair the charge comes off the invoice. If you do not, the documentation is yours to keep and it has real value at another shop or on a claim.

## Questions

**How long does an evaluation take?**

Most are the same day, one to three hours in the bay. Water intrusion on a large coach can take longer because the grid is larger. We tell you at booking rather than keeping the vehicle open ended.

**Which charge applies to me?**

An RV systems evaluation is $150. An in depth diagnostic is one hour at $285 with a one hour minimum, and it is the right tier for an intermittent or multi system fault. A collision teardown is one hour at $210. Each is credited against an authorized repair.

**Can you evaluate a vehicle I am thinking of buying?**

Yes, and that is a pre purchase inspection rather than an evaluation. It is a broader walk of every system with a written report, and it is deliberately not credited against a repair, because the independence is the point.

**Do I need an appointment?**

Yes for an evaluation, because it needs a bay reserved. Call (949) 799-3387 or send the form and we will book a window. Walk in insurance inquiries are a different thing and are always welcome.
