The practical version of community involvement for a repair shop is showing up where owners already gather and answering questions without a sales pitch attached, plus keeping public entity fleets running on a county budget cycle.

## Owner clubs and rallies

Southern California has an unusually active RV club scene, and the questions that come up at a rally are the same ones that arrive at the counter six months later as a much larger repair.

Answering the roof and seal question early, in a parking lot, for free, prevents more damage than any marketing does. It also occasionally costs us a job, which is the correct outcome.

## Public entity fleets

School districts, public works departments and county fleets in the San Gabriel Valley operate on procurement cycles that do not tolerate an invoice coded wrong or a unit down past its window.

Getting that right is unglamorous and it keeps buses and refuse trucks in service. For an unincorporated community like Hacienda Heights it also means understanding county purchase order routing rather than municipal.

## Technical education

Laminate and structural technicians are genuinely scarce, and the trade does not produce them at the rate the industry needs. Taking on people who want to learn those specific skills is the only durable fix.

Where the schedule allows. The useful version is technical questions answered on the spot rather than a booth. If your club wants someone to walk roofs and seals with members, ask.

**Do you work with public agencies?**

Yes, on body, paint, structural and equipment install for fleet and municipal vehicles. Invoicing is written against the purchase order and cost center so an audit can reconcile it line by line.
